The Austrian flew to an altitude of (128,100 feet) in a helium-filled balloon, and completed a record-breaking jump from the stratosphere, becoming the first person to break the speed of sound without mechanical assistance. The 43-year-old, who has completed many incredible feats in his BASE jumping career, broke two other world records (highest freefall and highest manned balloon flight) to complete his most daring mission to date.
