About Colton

Colton Facciotti

Naturally talented with a passion for motocross, 20-year-old Aldergrove, BC native Colton Facciotti’s athletic ability along with his size and strength enables him to manhandle his Yamaha quickly in the whoops. He gets up and hits the throttle within fractions of a second faster. “I think maybe I’m faster in the whoops than other guys. When I was riding in the States, there were always ten other riders I could battle with, and that’s what made me fast” he says. Behind the shy smile, there’s a sharp mind turning everything over. When you watch him riding his bike, you’ll see an emerging pro rider whose style is smooth and consistent. Apart from being extremely humble about his skills, Facciotti is quickly building confidence. Once introduced to him, you’ll find out how he likes to have fun as his philosophy of life is “have fun and love what you do”.

PRACTICE IS MORE ABOUT FITNESS

At a young age, Colton has his life figured out as his goal is to be happy and successful in life or maybe to live to be old enough so he can experience everything in life. The Yamaha rider practices many sports other than Moto-X to stay fit including golf and road biking. Facciotti respects any extreme sport as he believes that it’s amazing how much talent is in each sport.

CAREER HIGHLIGHTS

Colton Facciotti started racing at the age of 14, became pro in 2002 and won over 40 amateur titles. His talent provided him enough speed and agility to win the Montreal Supercross and the lites series at the England Supercross Series. His best achievement corresponds to his second place in 2007 at the national level. Facciotti recorded his second overall victory of the season as he took second MX1 win of the season in 2007. For 2008, Facciotti rides with the plate number 2 which means he came second in second last year at the overall standing. He is following the path of Jean-Sebastien Roy who won the CMRC title many years in a row on the Blackfoot team, same team as Colton. Roy is now helping Facciotti with training. As of today, Colton won every single race he entered this season, cleaning up the MX1 class in Ste-Julie and Morden. He didn’t participate in the Gopher dune event due to a shoulder injury. He wants to keep having fun and make a name for himself in motocross.
