- On Friday, August 21, 2009, Kitsilano Outdoor Swimming Pool played host to the most innovative wakeboard competition in Canada’s largest, longest draw and fill salt water outdoor swimming pool. Under a moonlit sky, hundreds of fans flocked to famous “Kits” beach pool to grab a seat to witness seven of Western Canada's best wakeboarders and wakeskaters as they tried there skills on the 138-meter course wowing spectators as Sugga pulled them through the water. Four massive features were constructed by local wakeboard legend Ivan Trass. The largest feature was an A-frame which stood 18-metres high and weighed 816 kilograms. Riders also navigated through a 12-meter rail which was outfitted with a 9-meter flat bar and a 2 by 3 meter, 544 kilogram booter at the end of the course for the finale.
