Canadian Kyle Croxall took the glory in an exciting first race in the USA, though not without controversy, following a high-speed crash in the final. Kyle sets the record straight on the incident in the latest Red Bull Crashed Ice blog.

Hi everyone,

First of all, I would like to thank all of the Croxall fans for cheering us on at the weekend. Also Saint Paul put on an amazing event with the most technical track we have seen yet.

The competition is getting a lot tougher and the top racers are all around the same level. My off-season training definitely helped out and a win was a great start to the season.

I know there is talk about me pushing Arttu (Pihlainen) in the final race. There was a video review and it was a clean race. I was on his back the entire race and took the inside lane for the pass, even Arttu said he tripped when I passed him.

Now it's time to get ready for the next race in two weeks in Valkenburg, in the Netherlands. You can follow me on Twitter for updates @croxy88
