Kaya Tursi is making history on the slopes yet again…

Canadian freestyle skier Kaya Turski has been at it again in the Winter X Games Europe in Tignes, France. Not only is she the first athlete to score a hat-trick of wins in both American and European Winter X Games events – a so-called three-peat at the two X events – she has also won a sixth consecutive Winter X Games gold medal in ski slopestyle.

Having won gold at the US Freeskiing Grand Prix last weekend, Kaya carried on her brilliant form by repeating the trick – a sublime 1080 – that won her the X Games gold in Aspen, Colorado earlier in the year. Only her and Maria Bagge have ever landed a 1080 – Turski an amazing three times.

She took the gold after notching a score of 92.66, with Anna Segal scoring 91 and Dara Howell 89.66.
