RBMA Notting Hill Carnival Event

We're pleased as rum punch to announce (some of) the artists to perform at this year's Red Bull Music Academy Radio party at Notting Hill Carnival. Teaming up again with the Major Lazer Soundsystem, we'll bring our special brand of carnival madness to the corner of Portobello Road and Acklam Road for their third year in a row, this time presenting artists like Black Chiney, Jackmaster and Lunice alongside resident selectors Switch and Diplo.

Lead by former Poison Dart selectors Bobby Chin and Supa Dups, Black Chiney is the Miami-based juggling machine, effortlessly blending the latest big tunes from Jamaica with heavyweight hip hop remixes and specials no other sound in the world can bring to the dance: just check Supa Dups' production credentials and do the math.

Frenchman Brodinski will play a back-to-back with Los Angeles' frontrunner of the moombahton movement, Dillon Francis, and so will two of the UK's finest "DJ's DJs", Oneman and class of Academy '10, Jackmaster. The latters' set will be topped off by a live PA from female vocalist of the minute, Jessie Ware.

Rounding up the line-up will be another Academy graduate, Montreal's up-stacker Lunice and Mad Decent's dubstep princess, Kito. In good ol' Major Lazer fashion, the RBMA stage will also buckle from some very special guests, who in previous years, included the likes of Santigold, Lee 'Scratch' Perry, and David Rodigan.

Tickets are free, on a strictly first-come-first-served basis. Last year's tickets disappeared literally in a matter of seconds, so get those trigger fingers ready: guestlist will open at 10am on August 11. Full details are here, and while you're checking your email settings, get in the mood with all the highlights from last year's session below.
